Slyne Head
Close to the ruins of Bunowen Castle near Ballyconneely, lookout post No. 53 is located on Doon Hill. The area on which the building stands is privately owned. The well-preserved registration number 53 from the associated Eire sign is still located in large numbers in front of the building. Today, there is hardly anything left to see of the lower ground marking. Using aerial photographs, I was able to reconstruct the probable position of the EIRE sign.
