Hook Head The Lookout post no. 16 was located near the Hook Head lighthouse. Today, only the outlines of the concrete foundation remain visible. Near the post, the huge Eire sign was written in white stones on the ground. Today, there is a road with a parking area here.
It appears that all remains of the post have been removed. This inspired the projection of a ‘Keep Clear’ sign onto the concrete foundations. The explanation is also based on the idea that it may never again be necessary to keep watch for war activities on this coast.
