Knockadoon Next to the 19th-century Knockadoon signal tower, lookout post No. 21 is located on the headland between Youghal Bay and Ballyconnton Bay. Ram Head and Ballycotton are less than seven miles away and visible from this location. The intention of this lighting project was to achieve a black colouration in the light projection. To achieve this, the interior walls of the lookout tower were gently illuminated by the projector light, revealing the original concrete structure.
