LOP 52 Mace Head

Mace Head  On the Mace headland, lookout post No. 52 is located at the end of the road to Crosspatrick near Halfmaceon. During the Second World War, coast watchers reported military activities in this area. The logbooks of this lookout post are now available to the public on the Irish Defence Forces website militaryarchives.ie. The historical photo shows the telephone pole that connected the lookout posts during the Second World War.
A geometric pattern was chosen for this light projection to make the grey building stand out from its surroundings.
