LOP 9 Wicklow Head

Wicklow Head  Near the town of Wicklow, lookout post No. 9 is located between 18th and 19th century lighthouses. A historical photograph shows the lookout post and the Eire sign near the rear lighthouse. Today, the building is used for maritime radio services and is not open to the public. The rough fence made it possible to illuminate the building from the outside, as the projector was located near the fence. A self-designed abstract design covered the lookout post for the light projection. In addition, the appearance of the fenced-in surroundings inspired the cover of Michael Kennedy's book ‘Guarding Neutral Ireland’ to be transferred to the building.
